Using mens bronzer

While fashion and cosmetics used to be the sole domain of women, more and more men today are not shy about being fashionable, styling their hair, whitening their teeth or even wearing make-up. In fact, many male celebrities and models use a makeup artist prior to making public appearances. This ensures that their best features are accentuated and blemishes and scars are hidden. Most men may think that using a bronzer is a daunting task. Believe me, it's not rocket science! It's quick and easy. Here are some simple steps to using men's bronzer:

1. Before you even consider using any make-up. It is important to establish a daily regime for skin care. Three words to remember - CLEAN, TONE and MOISTURIZE. I suggest cleansing your face initially to remove dirt and dead skin cells. Then apply a toner. This restores the skin to its natural pH level and remove any remaining dirt and dead skin cells. Finally, apply moisturizer to your face and neck. I suggest using a moisturizer with SPF 15 or higher for that added protection against the harmful rays of the sun.

2. I also suggest exfoliating your skin 2-3 times a week. Wash your face using an exfoliator and warm water. Use a circular motion to help remove dead skin cells.

3. Now we're ready to apply our bronzer. Use a large good quality brush to apply the bronzer. But if you're using a cream bronzer, then a sponge or your fingers will do.

4. Apply to areas where the sun would normally hit such as the forehead, nose, chin and across the cheekbones.

5. Use small, downward strokes. Make sure you apply the bronzer evenly otherwise your bronzer make up will appear dirty. Always blend and blend some more.

6. Avoid applying too much bronzer as this can make your skin look orange. If you've applied too much, tone it down by blotting the area with some tissue or applying some loose powder on top or wiping it off with a clean make-up sponge until you've achieved the desired effect. If none of these methods work, then remove the bronzer and start from the beginning.

7. Practice! practice! practice! As with any makeup application, practice makes perfect.

8. At the end of the day, always remove your bronzer as leaving it overnight is harmful to your skin. Remember the three words I mentioned above - CLEAN, TONE and MOISTURIZE. Use a richer moisturizer at night particularly if you have dry skin.

Skin type bronzer

A critical factor to obtaining the perfect look with bronzers is knowing your skin type. Also, determine whether your skin is oily or dry. it is also important to find out how you'll be using the bronzer. Knowing your expectations will help you achieve the look that your aiming for. If your skin is dry, use a spray or cream bronzer to help moisturise the skin and avoid powder settling into lines on your face. An alternative for dry skin is a mineral bronzer. Remember to apply the mineral bronzer with a quality brush for best results. If your skin is oily, use a powder bronzer. Powder bronzers help achieve a better coverage without clogging the pores or sealing the skin with heavy makeup. Remember to clean your skin prior to applying. A clarifying cleanser can help treat oily skin. For combination skin, consider a mineral bronzer particularly for you face. Always cleanse and moisturize as normal. You may consider including a clarifying or equalizing product to your daily beauty regime to hydrate while treating oily skin.

Mens Bronzer

Historically, most of men's grooming products have been confined to hair and shaving materials. While hair and shaving products continue to be topsellers, bronzer is a stand-out addition to the growing male cosmetic industry. While bronzers are predominantly used by women, more and more men are now using bronzers to achieve their man-tan. While this may seem like unchartered territory for most men, this does not have to be the case. Believe me, you don't need an engineering degree to be achieve that healthy, natural and sporty glow. I'm here to show you the ropes in using a bronzer. First up is understanding the myriad of bronzers that are available for men. These bronzers come in different formulations, from self-tanning gel to powders with brushes. In choosing a bronzer, choose one that results in a natural color and address the skin issues that men face like irritation and dryness. As a rule, a bronzer should be 2 shades darker than your natural skin tone. And choose matte rather than an iridescent bronzer. Adding moisture while preventing greasiness will enhance your final look, protect your skin from break-outs and help achieve a natural-looking tan.
